Huxley's Twisted Society

After finishing and enjoying Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, I can say it was eye opening and twisted.  Hundreds of twin babies? A happy drug given out regularly to people to make them 'happy'? This book really went into the extremes of what people will do to achieve happiness.  Huxley's society in this book goes to the extreme of preparing babies themselves to 'benefit the society'.  They install phrases into the people's minds to make them believe they were happy.  But were they really? Claiming that any form of discomfort or struggle should be eliminated, the society got rid of religion, the need of parents, and even insects!  They also claimed no one should feel too strongly about something, so they also removed the demand for love and diminished the value of self-worth.  In my opinion, this is too extreme.  Without struggles and hardships, happiness isn't possible. People need to undergo these troubles to understand their self-worth and experience true bliss, not to be simply told they are happy and believe it.
