Online or in person?

After reading the book Amusing Ourselves To Death by Neil Postman, Postman gives us an understanding that technology is tying to take over education in its own way. What is better, having a person teach you or relying on technology? I've had experiences in both situations.

Online, you have to make yourself understand. Sometimes the computer is talking to you while other times you have to read paragraphs. What if you don't understand what you read or what the computer said to you? You can post your questions but what if they don't reply? Do you just sit and wait, or do you find a new website. Some can cost money but sometimes they are free. Is it not better to have a personal tutor. You can ask as many questions as you want and you can go at your own pace. While on the other hand, if you do not understand you have to rely on YouTube or ask other people.

I do understand that personal tutors can be expensive, but isn't it better to pay more money and get a better learning experience than spending less money or none at all, and not understanding. While more people understand online tutoring, some don't. There are different types of learners. It all depends on the person.
