Final Hours
Most of us are currently putting in our final efforts to finish this summer assignment. Wether it be fitting in your final blog posts or comments or finishing your Huxley essays, we're all reflecting back on how we did with it. Like almost everyone else, I wish I had not procrastinated this badly. I always tell myself to get it done but I never do. I sit on my cell phone instead of allowing myself to grow as a reader. I totally regret procrastinating on this assignment because once I got into the books, I actually found it not as difficult as I expected it to be. The hardest read for me, out of all three of the books, has got to be Amusing Ourselves to Death just because I wasn't used to reading these types of texts. It was a good change to be able to read something written awhile ago but have it still be relevant to today's society. That book really made me reflect on the internet and technology's role and impact to society, something I probably wouldn't do in my free time or while on my phone. I hope some of you benefitted from this summer assignment because I know I did. I wish all of you good luck in finishing your assignment! Less than 24 hours and your stress will be gone. Was there something you wish you did or didn't do while doing this assignment? Did you procrastinate? What did you enjoy most about this assignment and what did you dislike?

Personally, I procrastinated too! However, I didn't procrastinate to the point where I am panicking to finish these assignments on time. Although summer seems like it goes by too fast, there is actually a lot of time that could be used for homework. I did this class' summer homework while I was in a cruise for vacations and throughout the summer. I planned to finish it before July, but I was clearly unsuccessful at my goal. Once I left school on the last day, I felt like my motivation and drive to do anymore work disappeared. I really enjoyed choosing my own Room for Debates and reading A Brave New World. I found out about current news and people's opinion on them, and A Brave New World was a crazy book! I also really liked the blog idea because it allowed everyone to express their opinion and keep in touch over the summer!
