Control Over People

With a population as large as the one described in Aldous Huxley's novel, Brave New World, a system of maintaining it is needed in order to have a functioning society. The way  that they go about it is by having a caste system in which they are created into where the lower castes support the higher ups. These lower class citizens are genetically inferior to those of the higher class and are given undesirable jobs. This includes manual labor that requires little to no skills. Being created artificially for this sole reason, these citizens of the World State do not question this caste system. It is a quite sickening process as you think about it, one that would not be accepted anytime soon into our society; however, it makes me wonder if the author, Huxley, believes that our very own society will be headed towards this direction in the future. If so, would it be an effective method in controlling a large portion of our human population?
