My True Love

Through my life, I have had many childhood heroes inspire me to do great things. Even though I've fallen short, one particular person has gotten me to where I am today. Danny DeVito has been my father figure and guardian angel my whole life. From when choosing what cereal to eat in the morning to what time I go to sleep at night, I think "What would Danny do".When I had first seen him play the role of Philoctetes  in Hercules I thought, "Wouldn't it be great to have a someone teach me morals and train me into a super human. I've never made a decision without consulting the one and only. The laughs from  "It's always sunny in Philadelphia" to the moral building blockbuster movie "The Lorax" he has yet to disappoint me. Overall, he has built me into the person I am today and  he has probably took the hearts of many across America. Now I ask you, my fellow classmates. Who is your role model that has shaped you into the being you are today?

  1. Yes, I agree with what you're saying! Personally, my role models are Zoboomafoo and Harambe. Zoboomafoo is a talking lemur, and when I was a kid, that show taught me all about animals and made me want to work with animals. Harambe, on the other hand, taught me compassion and sacrifice for others. Harambe's sacrifice and service to that child and inspired me to become more active in Key Club and the service of others.

    1. That's amazing! We can really learn by looking a little deeper into situations, taking bits of information and life lessons. In fact, I learn most of my life lessons from fictional characters in movies! I learned that being rich doesn't equal happiness from Will Smith as he played Oscar from "Shark Tales". In all, movies show lessons if you look hard enough.

  2. Gabe Newell is one of the best role models out there honestly. Being the co-founder and game developer for Valve Corporation he has created many outstanding games such as Team Fortress, Counter Strike, Portal, and Half-Life (can't wait for Half-Life 3). Thanks to his help developing Counter Strike: Global Offensive he created one of the friendliest gaming communities out there, even better that League Of Legends. He is what I aspire to be in life.

  3. Michelle Obama is one of my role models. She is such an inspiration to our youth, especially with her healthy eating movement. She has encouraged many children across America to exercise and eat better, and I am one of those children. Michelle Obama is the reason why I now eat broccoli and asparagus, and I have never looked back. I am so grateful for her.
