As the new school year comes around the corner, I was wondering if there will be any new changes that many people have been asking for. You may all remember the letter Mr. Eastham had us write that included what we would like to have changed in the school. If you don't know this school year we will be having a new principal... so bye bye Mr. Eeles and hello Mrs. Stanley.
So do you think we will see new improvements at our school or will it be same old same old? I know many people want changes to restrooms, I myself as well. Some want a certain program to be acknowledged more, certain rules to be taken away, but will any of it get done? Or will it just be same old Mayfair High School? What are things you will like to be done in the upcoming school year and why?
Many of us students want improvements at Mayfair that will benefit everyone, but I don't think that there will be drastic changes while we are at school. Maybe it will happen after we graduate, maybe not. Making changes can also be difficult for the school to manage especially when it involves money. I wish for the school to use money wisely on things that are necessarily needed. For example, did we really need those banners up by the MPB? Yes, I know that it spells out the SOONS motto, which is a school spirit kind of thing, but I think the money used for that would have been also better for something the school actually needed. The school restrooms are a commonly complained topic at school, so I think this should be one of the main things I would like to see change at Mayfair. If the school does really care about our well-being as students, shouldn't they care about how students use those unhealthy and horrendous school restrooms? I wouldn't even call them restrooms. It is something that should be tended to soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Margareth, because our school spent money on buying the unnecessary banners when they could have been putting that money to good use like maybe opening up another accounting office. Although I wish to see some improvements at our school, I don't think there will be any major changes, but with the new principal in charge, I hope, as for many other people, that there will be restroom changes because the restroom conditions are atrocious!
DeleteThere may be some minor changes throughout the new year, but there most likely will not be any drastic ones. Most people want to make the school a better place. However, some people make it worse for others. These people litter, act immature, and choose to vandalize school property. There cannot be a change if there are some people who do not cooperate.
