Why?

Have you ever thought why you went to school? Some would say that it is because their parents made them or that they wanted to "learn". But what do you learn in school science, math, English, history? Why do you though honestly? Is it to better yourself and to one day to go to college? But why go to college? Is it because it is almost mandatory in any field of work now days. But why go to work? Is it to earn money to buy materialistic things or buy things that should be free. But why do we need money at all. Is it because we have a built a world revolved around it. But why did we do that? Is it because we need a sense of stability in our lives. But why do we need that stability? Is it because without all this is life without purpose?

Why does man fall into this cycle of school, more school, work, spend money, spend more money, works the rest of life because of money spending, then leaves children behind with the same mindset. Why can't we all live like the Native Americans did who did without all of that and lived off the land. Why do we need to live in the standards of society?

I honestly have no idea but I do however follow this cycle. Maybe because this is all I know and am use to. Just like my father before I and his father before him and so forth. I have come to like shiny materialistic things even though I probably shouldn't because even a diamond is just a shiny rock. I don't think society as we know it could function without this cycle. Perhaps you the reader know why we as humans do this and a give a good alternative to this. Or are you to busy doing last minute AP summer work to stop and question things?

  1. Like yourself, I have thought of this before. Society needs some type of way to live by or else it can become complete chaos. The world is cruel. There are billions of people that can harm each other if there was no order. We would be living like savages in a way. We would have to hunt for food, protect our family and friends, and constantly look out for danger. Without money, people don't necessarily have the best reason to work. Most people are not willing to help a stranger out depending on the situation. Even today, you rarely see strangers help one another out. What if two strangers had to fight for the same food? Do you think they will share the food peacefully in a world with no rules? I don't think so.
